The disposal of Hydro Excavation and Non-Destructive Digging (NDD) waste is unlikely at any clean fill site, and even if accepted, it would incur large disposal costs due to its solid liquid state and weight.
As legislation becomes more stringent, the payload per truck will be reduced, and there is an increasing need for urban recycling solutions, instead of rural dumping grounds.
CDEnviro provide bespoke reception centers for receiving this hydro excavation and NDD waste while processing it to recover resources for independent revenue streams including:
- Dewatered organics
- Heavy metals
As well as this, dewatering the final clay content ensures easy and cheap disposal of this material at landfill. The recovered water can then simply be reused to fill out going trucks with industry compliant recycled water.
Beyond this, if heavily contaminated, this hydro excavation and NDD waste can be further processed to remove heavy metals and hydrocarbons from the waste water stream. This enables a wider range of more difficult and therefore more lucrative waste streams to be processed.
